If the host is not registered with AWS integration, there may be an error in the settings, etc.
Please check the following items.
Check the IAM role for AWS integration
- Please check that the necessary policies for working with CloudWatch are attached to the IAM role.
- The IAM policies required vary depending on the AWS product.
- For some products, if you want to set up AWS integration that only targets that product, you will need the CloudWatchReadOnlyAccess permission in addition to the required policies/actions.
- The products with
*1
in the product name of Policies required for integration are the target.
- The products with
Check that the settings for filter by tags are correct
- when filtering by tags, the tags must also be set appropriately on the AWS product side.
- Additional policies are required to filter tags using ElastiCache, SQS, and Step Functions.
- Please refer Grant permissions for tag retrieval.
If the above is checked and no problems are found
Please check the following points.
- Check that the IAM role ARN and external ID match the AWS settings.
- Check that the region set in the AWS integration matches the actual region.
- Check the box next to the AWS product you want to use.
- Check the metrics for the target instance are being recorded on CloudWatch.
- If the metric is not recorded on CloudWatch, it will not be integrated to Mackerel either.
